విధాత : రాష్ట్రపతి ద్రౌపది ముర్ము (President Murmu) మొట్టమొదటిసారి సుఖోయ్‌ విమానంలో ప్రయాణించారు. త్రివిధ దళాల అధినేత్రి అయిన రాష్ట్రపతి ప్రస్తుతం మూడు రోజుల పర్యటన నిమిత్తం అసోంలో ఉన్నారు. సోనిత్‌పూర్‌లోని తేజ్‌పూర్‌ ఎయిర్‌ఫోర్స్‌ స్టేషన్‌ నుంచి శనివారం ఐఏఎఫ్‌ ఫైటర్‌ జట్‌ సుఖోయ్‌ 30 ఎంకేఐ (Sukhoi-30 MKI)లో గగన విహారం చేశారు. ఆమె వెంట గ్రూప్‌ కెప్టెన్‌ నవీన్‌కుమార్‌ తివారి ఉన్నారు.

అంతకు ముందు గువాహటి నుంచి తేజ్‌పూర్‌కు చేరుకున్న ద్రౌపదికి ఎయిర్‌బేస్‌ వద్ద ఎయిర్‌ మార్షల్‌ ఎస్‌పీ ధర్కర్‌, గవర్నర్‌ గులాబ్‌ చంద్‌ కటారియా, ముఖ్యమంత్రి హిమంత బిశ్వ శర్మ స్వాగతం పలికారు. తొలుత వైమానిక సిబ్బంది నుంచి గౌరవ వందనం స్వీకరించారు.
The President flew for about 30 mins covering Brahmaputra and Tezpur valley. The aircraft was flown by Gp Capt Naveen Kumar, CO of 106 Squadron. The aircraft flew at a height of about two kms above sea level and at a speed of about 800 kms per hour.

సుఖోయ్‌ యుద్ధ విమానంలో ప్రయాణం గురించి అధికారులు ఆమెకు వివరించారు. గతంలో రాష్ట్రపతులుగా పనిచేసిన ఏపీజే అబ్దుల్‌ కలాం, ప్రతిభాపాటిల్‌ తర్వాత సుఖోయ్‌ యుద్ధ విమానంలో ప్రయాణించిన మూడో రాష్ట్రపతిగా ద్రౌపది ముర్ము నిలిచారు.
